Stampin’ Up! Happy Birthday Gorgeous for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set to create my card for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop today.  We’ve got a color challenge this week and this is what I made for it:

Here are the colors that we’re using this week:

My card layout today is based on Fab Friday 131:

To begin, adhere a panel of Flirty Flamingo patterned paper from the Sweet Soirée Specialty Designer Series Papers to a panel of Basic Black cardstock.  Cut a 2″ x 4-1/2″ panel of the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper with the small white flowers.  Use Stampin’ Write Markers in Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst to color the flowers in a random fashion.  When complete, punch one end with the Banner Triple Punch and adhere the banner to the prepared layer with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere a panel of Whisper White cardstock to the front of the card base with Liquid Glue.  Then adhere the prepared layer with the banner to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Use Versamark Ink and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder to add the sentiment to a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  Die cut the sentiment panel using the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Use a slightly larger scalloped oval die to cut a mat for the sentiment from a Silver Foil Sheet.  Adhere the embossed sentiment piece to the Silver Foil mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment layer to the card front.

Tie a bow with Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon and attach it to the banner above the sentiment using Mini Glue Dots.  Fussy cut a single flower from the scrap piece you have after punching the end from the banner.  Adhere the flower to the sentiment panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Finish by adding a single Rhinestone to the flower center.

To complete the inside of the card, adhere a strip of Sweet Soirée DSP along one side of a panel of Whisper White cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the white panel to a panel of Basic Black cardstock with Liquid Glue, and adhere the completed layer to the card interior with Liquid Glue, as well.

Stampin’ Up! products have matching colors across the line on all their products, making it so easy to put together a project knowing the cardstock, Designer Series Paper, markers, ink and ribbon will all match – no worries!
