Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month our theme is “Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays”.  Here is the card I created:

The Hearts Come Home stamp set offers many options for a “down home feeling” Christmas card with five great sentiments and numerous sweet images.  It also pairs well with the tree patterned sheet from the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper.

To begin, use Basic Black and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers to color the house image using the direct to rubber technique.  Stamp the image on a circle of Whisper White cardstock cut with the second to largest circle die from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  Stamp a couple of the larger trees with full strength Old Olive ink and one smaller tree inked with Old Olive and stamped on scrap paper once before stamping on the art piece. Use the stars/snowflake stamp from the Night in Bethlehem set inked with Soft Sky ink in the sky above the house.  Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the completed art piece to a Real Red mat cut with the second largest Scalloped Circle die from the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.

Color the sentiment stamp as shown with Basic Black and Real Red Stampin’ Write Markers using the direct to rubber technique.  Stamp on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  Cut the sentiment out with the small banner die from the Popcorn Box Thinlits Dies.  Lay the same die on a panel of Basic Black cardstock, use a pencil to trace the outside edge of the die to create a mat and cut it out with scissors.  Adhere the sentiment panel to the handcut mat with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Adhere a panel of the tree patterned sheet of Designer Series Paper from the Merry Little Christmas collection to a mat of Basic Black cardstock.  Wrap a length of silver Mini Tinsel Trim around the layer and tie a square knot.  Adhere this layer to the Real Red card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Adhere the the art piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals about an inch down from the top edge and centered side to side.  Adhere the sentiment panel to the lower right side of the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Add a single silver star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes embellishments to the art piece to complete the card front.

Ink the larger and smaller tree with Old Olive ink and stamp numerous times to the lower right corner of the card liner, some full strength and some stamped a second time before re-inking.  Stamp the sentiment with Basic Black Archival ink.  Adhere the panel to the card interior with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
