Stampin’ Up! Giving Thanks for the Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month our theme is “Giving Thanks”. Here is the card I created:

One of the great features of Stampin’ Up! products is the fact that they are color coordinated.  This makes the task of matching cardstock, Designer Series Paper, ink and ribbon effortless.  I am a fan of using Basic Black as a neutral so this DSP really appeals to me.  The colors just pop.

Stamp the sentiment from the You Move Me stamp set with Archival Black ink on a panel of Pool Party cardstock.  Die cut the sentiment panel with the second to largest oval die in the Stitched Shapes Framelits set.  Adhere the sentiment panel to a scalloped oval mat cut from Old Olive cardstock with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  Adhere the 3-7/8″ x 3-1/4″ panel of patterned paper from the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper to the 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ panel of Basic Black cardstock with Multipurpose Liquid Glue with the bottom edges aligned.

Adhere a narrow strip of Copper Foil Paper along the top edge of the DSP panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  This layer is then adhered to a panel of Old Olive cardstock with SNAIL.  The completed layer is adhered directly to the card base with SNAIL, as well.  Adhere the sentiment piece to the card base centered over the Copper Foil strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Fussy-cut a floral image from the Whole Lot of Lovely DSP.  Adhere along the top edge of the sentiment panel with Liquid Glue.  Use a few Mini Dimensionals under the area overlapping the card base to adhere it to the base.  Die cut the small butterfly from Copper Foil Paper with the Move Me Thinlits set.  Adhere to the card base as shown with Liquid Glue.

Here’s a peek inside the card.  Adhere a strip of the Designer Series Paper along the left edge of the Whisper White cardstock panel with Liquid Glue.  Use SNAIL to adhere the liner to the card interior.
