Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Bouquet in a Watering Can

Today’s card combines stamps and dies from the Beautiful Bouquet Bundle and the Grown With Love Bundle.  It also features a panel of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper, which inspired the color selection.  I just love the way Stampin’ Up! inks, cardstock, twine and Designer Series Paper colors all coordinate, don’t you?

The card layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #297

Also playing along with the Stamp, Paper, Ink Challenge #108

The first step is to die cut three of the groups of four larger size flowers from the Bouquet Bunch die set from Watercolor Paper.  I followed the watercolor technique as taught by Sandi MacIver in the YouTube tutorial in her post here using Powder Pink, Flirty Flamingo and Calypso Coral inks.  Use the 1/8″ circle punch to make the Daffodil Delight flower centers, which are glued to the back side of the blooms with a small dab of Liquid Glue.  Die cut the flower stem from Old Olive cardstock.  Stamp the watering can with Pool Party ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock and cut out with the coordinating dies.  The cut out for the handle is a separate piece – looks like a half-moon. Hint: Secure the dies in place with washi tape or something similar before cutting with the Big Shot.

You will need to trim off approximately one inch from the bottom of the stem bundle so it does not extend below the bottom of the watering can.  After a dry-fit to determine placement, adhere  the stem and flowers along the right side of the 3-3/4″ x 3-3/4″ panel of Whisper White cardstock with Liquid Glue.  Use Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to adhere the watering can, as shown.  Then adhere the art panel to the Flamingo Floral cardstock mat.  Wrap the left side of the art panel 3 times with Flirty Flamingo Baker’s Twine, securing the ends on the back side with tape.  For some finishing touches, embellish the watering can with tiny Pearl Basic Jewels and attach a triple-looped bow with a Glue dot, as shown.  Set this panel aside as you prepare the card base.

Use SNAIL to adhere the panel of Petal Garden Designer Series Paper to the Whisper White cardstock mat.  Adhere this layer to the card base with SNAIL, as well.  Then adhere the completed art piece to the front of the completed card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

For the card liner, adhere the DSP strip along the edge of the Whisper White panel with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set with Flirty Flamingo ink.  Adhere the completed liner the to card interior with SNAIL.
