Welcome back to another Inkin’ Krew blog hop!  Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products.  This month our theme is ” Celebrate Summer”.  Here is the card I created:

The Bike Ride Photopolymer bundle makes me smile.  Makes me think of a sunny day, riding down a grassy path somewhere to have a picnic, stopping to pick wildflowers along the way.  What a fun way to celebrate Summer!  The bundle features multiple images with two-step stamps and corresponding dies which offer many options for creativity.

The first step in making this card is to add background color to the Glossy White cardstock panel by lightly inking a Stamping Sponge on an ink pad and gently rubbing it across the panel to blend.  Use Lemon Lime Twist ink along the bottom to about 3/4″ up.  Use Soft Sky ink to add color to the remainder of the panel.  Then use Lemon Lime Twist ink to stamp the grassy image from the A Little Wild stamp set numerous times along the bottom.   To “build” the bike, stamp all the parts needed on Whisper White cardstock, starting with the bike frame image stamped with Tempting Turquoise ink.  Then stamp the bicycle seat, pedal and handle bar covers in Pink Pirouette ink on the frame image you just stamped.  Stamp two bicycle wheels in Smoky Slate ink and use Pink Pirouette ink to add the stamped rims to the wheels.  Stamp the rack for the back of the bike in Tempting Turquoise ink.

Stamp the outline of the picnic basket in Soft Suede ink and the body of the basket in Crumb Cake ink.  Stamp the outline of the flower bouquet in Lemon Lime Twist ink.  Follow with Pink Pirouette ink for the flowers and Crumb Cake ink for the wrap.  Die cut all the stamped images.  In addition, die cut the basket for the the front of the bike from Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  Then assemble all the parts to “build” the bike.  Adhere them to each other with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Adhere the bike to the prepared Glossy White cardstock background panel with glue, as well.  For the mat, adhere a Whisper White cardstock panel to a Tempting Turquoise cardstock panel with SNAIL.  Adhere the completed artpiece to the mat layer with SNAIL, and then adhere the finished piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set in Tempting Turquoise ink on a panel or scrap of Whisper White cardstock.  Use the smallest plain die from the Layering Ovals Framelits to cut it out.  Using the same die set, cut a scalloped oval from Tempting Turquoise cardstock with the smallest scalloped oval and and a plain oval from Lemon Lime Twist using the second smallest die.  Use Multipurpose Liquid glue to adhere the die cut layers as shown and then adhere the sentiment label to the card front with Mini Stampin Dimensionals.  The label is embellished with a Pink Pirouette die cut butterfly, which is included in the Build A Bike Framelits die set.  Add three tiny Pearl Basic Jewels to each of the flower centers and one for the butterfly head.

For the liner inside the card, stamp the grass image from A Little Wild numerous times along the bottom edge of the Whisper White panel.  Use SNAIL to adhere this panel to a Tempting Turquoise cardstock mat and use SNAIL again to adhere to the card interior.  Add a couple more Pink Pirouette die cut butterflies to the upper left corner to finish.
